This
timber-framed cottage was built in the 17th century at the northeast corner of
Ifield's village green. Brickwork supports the timbers on the ground floor, and
tiles cover the first floor walls. The roof comes down steeply on the north
side, nearly to ground level. An entrance porch and tall chimney-stack stand at
the west end.
