NINE PICTURES: Boscobel House

This 17th-century house, originally called Furnall Cottage, stands at the north end of the High Street between late-20th-century buildings which have been designed in a complementary style. The ground floor was faced with bricks in the 18th century, and the first floor and roof are tiled.

  1. Dad was the manager here when it was BFC Paisleys (Insurance). I used to play in the back garden (!) with the wooden coat hangers thrown over the wall as Frisbees by the young lads working in the dry cleaners next door, mid-late 1960's - I would have been 8ish...
